Description of Mozambique
It is the 36th largest country in the world.The capital and largest city is Maputo.It occupies an equivalence of 801,537 km2 a total area of 309,475 sq. Mi. . It is also bounded by Tanzania to the North as well as the Indian Ocean to the East.
Between the 1st and 5th centuries AD, Bantu-speaking peoples migrated from farther north and west. Swahili, and later also Arab, commercial ports existed along the coasts until the arrival of Europeans. The area was colonized by Portugal from 1505.

The country in the maps is located between latitudes 10° and 27°S and longitudes 30° and 41°E.The country is located Southeast coast of Africa and is bound by Swaziland on the South. It is also bound by South Africa to the Southwest, Zambia and Malawi to the Northwest and Zimbabwe to the West.
Climate and Weather.
The country experiences a tropical climate which has two seasons one wet season and another dry season. The wet season occurs from October to March while the dry season occurs from April to September. The climatic conditions of the country vary with altitude. You find that rainfall is normally heavy in the areas along the coast but along the north and south the rainfall is minimal. The annual precipitation varies between 500mm and 900mm depending on where the area is located. The average precipitation is 590 mm. During the wet season Cyclones are experienced and the temperatures ranges are 13 to 24 °C in July to 22 to 31 °C in February.
Culture and Holidays.
The culture of Mozambique is diversified in different fields. One of the fields is music. Music in Mozambique is used in religious and traditional ceremonies. The musical instruments are drums, lupembe which is a woodwind instrument and Marimba, which is the most popular instrument in the country. The country has several public holidays; 1st January Universal fraternity day, 3rd February Mozambican Heroes day, 7th April Mozambican women day, 1st May International Workers day, 25th June National Independence day, 7th September Victory Day, 25th September National Liberation Armed Forces Day, 4th October Peace and Reconciliation and 25th December Family day.
Travelling and Tourism.
The most popular areas in Mozambique that attract tourism include; Ponta de Ouro where there is scuba diving as well as swimming with dolphins. In Maputo which is the capital of Mozambique there is a hub of culture and fresh cuisine is also served as well as retail therapy. In Caza there is kite surfing, wind surfing as well as sailing. In Inhabane is where Vasco Da Gama fell in love with and named it the Land of Good People. On the other hand in Vilanculos which is the gateway to Bazaruto Archipelago there are six islands.
