Description of Malawi
Malawi is a landlocked country found in the southeastern part of Africa. It has an estimated population of 16,829,000 people as per 2014. It borders Tanzania to the north, Lake Malawi to the east Zambia to the west and Mozambique to the east and south. Its capital city is Lilongwe.
The first prime minister of Malawi was known as Banda. When Malawi became a republic, he became the first president of the Republic. Most of the citizens of Malawi are Subsistence farmers and the main crops grown are cassava, sorghum and maize.

The dressing code for women traditionally was Chitenje similar to a large sarong often with an elaborate pattern or design. The Malawian culture do not allow the show of affection in public. The widelyspoken languages are English and Chewa. Basic food for the Malawians is Nsima which is maize flour missed with water to make thick porridge. It is then served with vegetables.
Climate and weather
In Malawi, there are two main seasons that is the dry season and the wet season. The dry season lasts from May to October while the wet season lasts from November to April. Despite the fact that temperatures vary seasonally, they tend to decrease on average with increasing elevation. Annual precipitation levels are highest over parts of the northern highlands and on the Sapitwa peak of the Mulanje massif, where they are about 90 inches (2,300 mm); they are lowest in the lower Shire valley, where they range from 25 to 35 inches (650 to 900 mm). Frosts are not uncommon in July on the Mulanje massif and Nyika plateau. November is the hottest month of the year with temperatures as high as 29° C. The coolest month is July with temperatures as low as 7° C.
